ZoeTrope -The ZoeTrope is the first actual moving image that was first created, as you can see it is a round object that you have to spin as fast as you can to see the moving image. The illusion is supposed to be that the images are moving when really they aren't.
Thaumatrope -
This was popular in the early 19th century the Thaumatrope was and still is deigned to give the illusion that the bird is really inside the metal cage.
Phenakistoscope -
The Phenakistoscope was an early animation device that used the persistence of vision principle to create an illusion of motion.
